This can be seen from the report presented by research agency Cobouw on the annual figures of the ten construction corporations. The study includes the following firms: BAM, Volker Wessels, Boskalis, Heijmans, TBI, Van oord, Ballast Nedam, Strukton, Dura Vermeer and Van Wijnen.
Volker Wessels
The best performing firm is Volker Wessels, who increased their revenue by 12% in 2011. Van Oord experienced an excellent year as well reaching an 8.6 % profit margin while Heijmans, Strukton and Van Wijnen, where the only companies not able to increase their profits from 2010.
Efficiënt management
According to research agency Cobouw, the high turnovers are due to “cutting down expenses, a more selective contract policy and more efficient project management”
